After 5 minutes
…when you’re reading this amazing book. It’s so beautiful and magical that every single word makes you happy. It’s laced with suspense, yet you don’t want to how it ends because that means the book is over. Every time you finish a page you wince because that means you have one less page to read, and you’re one page closer to the end.
That is exactly how I feel going home for break. Don’t get me wrong, I need a vacation at this point. I’ve watched people of iron constitution crumble under the pressures of this program. I’ve seen them break down and cry. I’ve been there myself. I want nothing more than to simply curl up on the sofa with my cat and my little sisters and read to them by the light of the fireplace. That being said, I can’t deny that a bittersweet feeling is worming its way into my heart as I’m packing.
When I come back from holiday, I will be starting the final chapter of my life in Costa Rica. After that, this cue ball called college is going to slam into us, and we’ll be scattered across the green felt of this world like billiards balls.
